On April 16, 2026, Selfie Lavandaria opened its second store in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. It is our second store in the city, following the first.
About Mozambique
Mozambique lies on the southeastern coast of Africa, facing the Indian Ocean. It has a population of about 34 million, and Portuguese is the official language. More and more people are living in cities, led by the capital, Maputo (the urbanization rate is about 38%).
Mozambique is also where Life Breeze's Africa business began. Since opening our first store in 2024, we have built up store operations step by step together with Sergio, our Country HQ owner. The stores run on Electrolux commercial washers and dryers.
What we expect from the second store
The second store builds directly on what we learned at the first. With two stores, we can now look at staff development, machine maintenance and customer feedback from a wider angle than with one.
As more people live in cities, the need to get laundry done in one go, in less time, will keep growing. With our two stores in Maputo as a foothold, we aim to grow our network across Mozambique.
