On July 25, 2026, we opened our first Liberian store, Selfie Laundromat, at All Star Mall in Monrovia — Life Breeze's first store in West Africa.
We opened it together with our local partner, Suah Alfred. We now have stores in three countries: Mozambique, Kenya and Liberia.
About Liberia
Liberia lies on the Atlantic coast of West Africa. Independent since 1847, it is known as Africa's oldest republic. It has a population of about 5.5 million; English is the official language, and the US dollar is widely used in everyday transactions.
Being able to work directly in English and to see the business numbers in US dollars is a real strength for us as we support the store from Japan.
A gateway to West Africa
Liberia is Life Breeze's base for expanding into West Africa. Through running our first store in Monrovia, we hope to build a playbook for stores in West Africa and carry it to neighboring countries.
The people running the store on the ground are Suah and the local team. Our Japan HQ supports their work with equipment and systems.
