Life Breeze has started hiring full-time staff to work with us at our headquarters in Shiojiri, Nagano. We are looking for a Sales Coordinator, an Equipment & Field Support specialist and a Project Coordinator. Not sure which role fits? You can start with a casual chat through our open position.
What we want to give back
In many parts of Africa, people still spend four to six hours every week washing clothes by hand. Give that time back, and a parent can help with homework, sell vegetables at the market, or simply laugh with family.
A washing machine delivers more than clean clothes. It delivers time to move life forward.
Life Breeze is building Selfie, a coin laundry network across Africa that gives that time back.
Where we are now
Five stores are running in Mozambique, Kenya and Liberia. Gabon is preparing to open, Ghana is preparing a pilot, and research has begun in Madagascar, Tanzania and Zambia. Our goal is 100,000 stores — and we are writing the first pages of that story right now.
How we work
This is a business, not aid. Local CEOs and their teams run the stores; our Japan HQ delivers equipment, builds the systems and connects the countries. Success means the stores run without anyone from Japan on site. There are no overseas postings: we work from Shiojiri every day with teams across Africa, and travel for short trips when needed.
Three roles
- Sales Coordinator — open the door: arrange meetings with business owners in Japan and site visits to our stores in Africa.
- Equipment & Field Support — keep the stores running: troubleshoot with local staff in English and ship parts from Japan.
- Project Coordinator — bring new countries and stores to life, from planning to opening day.

Who we are looking for
We are still in our early days. There is no long training period — you will work on real projects from day one and help us build the playbook as we grow from 10 to 100 to 1,000 stores.
